- Degree Programme
The Department offers a five-year degree programme in Mechanical Engineering leading to the award of Bachelor of Engineering degree. The programme has been developed with NUC minimum academic requirements. The courses in the first two years are common to all departments in the faculty and practice, Computer programming, engineering drawing, etc. the remaining programme is designed to provide students with enough basic engineering principles in mechanics of materials, fluid mechanics, machine design, engineering management, automatic controls etc.
A nine-month industrial attachment is mandatory for all third and fourth year students of this department. In the final year, a project, together with appropriate combination of courses is offered with an opportunity to select from list of elective courses.
